AMGC 2010
We welcome the 2010 golf season at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course. This Robert Trent Jones design boasts long rolling fairways, challenging greens and years of history, nestled in the Mohawk Valley. As our golf course is maintained by the City of Amsterdam, we are able to offer well kept greens and fairways at an affordable price. In fact, at Amsterdam Muni, your greens fee allows you to golf as many holes as you wish from sunrise to sunset.
The course record is 64. Holes 6 through 9 and 13 through 15 can make or break a golfer's score. The 13th is a 210 yard par 3, which can easily become 240 into a strong headwind.
Gamblers will love the creek in the middle of the 15th hole. But beware because this water hazard is 220 yards from the tee, which can turn par into double bogey with the slightest mistake in club selection.
One of the best views in the Capital District is from the 7th tee, boasting a 180 degree view of the Mohawk Valley. The 4th and 16th holes are also unique in their layout and subtle hazards. However, number 4 was always Robert Trent Jones' favorite.
When you're done with your round, you can always stop in to our clubhouse for a quick bite with your group, or invite the family to meet you for dinner. Either way we are sure that you will thoroughly enjoy your experience at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.
We look forward to seeing you during the 2010 golf season!
